Of gold and green, whirring machines,
Escape the growing pull of the tide

Corrosive tongues speak black and white
Electric signs cut through the night
Commit the crime
Of an open mind
To map our place and fate among the stars
We must find out who we really are
A lonely rock spinning round and round

Inferno
In this land of burning light
The land aflame
The sky ignites
And as the flame consumes us all
Even the stars will fall
To hold us down
And watch us drown
So far from the sun
The life inside
Sees all of this in black and white
The abomination
Arise and ascend to the sea of stars
The inferno blocks our sight
On the greener side, untouched by flame
And bathed in fatal light
On a silent line
The static speaks
To remind us of our crime
A body of black
Hidden from sight
Swallows all the light
To map our place in accordance with the stars
Explain and find out who we really are

For ages we have watched this land degrading
The past preyed upon by falling stars
Guide me home
Everything is different now
The land we used to know
Has turned to ash
Lead me down
Past the trees
And sink my feet
Into the sand by the sea

Remembering what never was
In shades of grey
I am old
At least I feel it in my bones
I remember when we were young inside
And everything was black and white
As the punishment for our crimes
Between the permafrost and sky
Cold, forever dark
Ages ago we were confined
We are the diseased
In fields of frost I wander ever slower

From the cliffs I see a coming storm
Grey clouds collect and descend in time
Lead me down
To the waves
Past the cliffs along the shores
To the cave
Light the torch

Cross this great divide
